After breakfast, your driver-guide will collect you, and your safari will commence. You will drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. This takes approximately 2 hours.
The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree-climbing African pythons. The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. You will enjoy a day of game viewing, with a picnic lunch looking out over the river to break up the time in the car. After the game drive, before it gets dark, you will drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Today, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. In Manyara, after having a picnic lunch, you start the late afternoon game drive, which is also the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the East Rift Valley, an escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos. After lunch, you will drive back to Arusha.
