Day 1

Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Sunset Game Drive

Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Sunset Game Drive

After breakfast, you will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth NP, situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori. Several stops will be made along the way for lunch and landscape viewing before you reach the park.

You will arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, and later in the day, when the sun is high in the sky and the animals make their way to the river for a drink, you will head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari. You will spot more hippos today than you can possibly imagine. Herds of elephant and buffalo will also wander to the shoreline to bathe in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.

After the boat safari, you will go for a short sunset game drive before checking in at The Bush Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Surrounded by the park and bordering the Kazinga Channel, the lodge has a truly unique setting. Animals roam in and out of the camp, and the sounds of hippos and hyenas will complement your trip.

Morning (Sunrise) Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha to Search for Tree-Climbing Lions

On this day, your safari breakfast will be served before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive as the sun comes up. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Elephants, buffalos and several species of antelope are some of the characters you may come across today, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard.

After your game drive, you will have lunch and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You'll stop at the Ishasha Sector, Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive where you will likely view tree-climbing lions, elephants, lions, and buffaloes, among other species, if time allows.

You will return for lunch and drive to Bwindi, where you will arrive in the evening. You will check in at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Mountain Gorillas Tracking & Batwa/Pygmies Community Visit or Canoe Ride on Lake Bunyonyi

Mountain Gorillas Tracking & Batwa/Pygmies Community Visit or Canoe Ride on Lake Bunyonyi

Today, you will enjoy tracking gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi has the biggest concentration of gorillas, given its small size. The search for gorillas goes through the thick, untamed rainforest, where you’ll be scrambling over mossy rocks and through deep undergrowth. It isn't the easiest of activities and will be arduous, but the encounter is well worth the effort. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is an experience that will last a lifetime. The experienced ranger guides will willingly share with you a lot of information about the history and lifestyle of the gorillas.

After tracking gorillas, you can choose to either go for a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi or visit the Batwa community, where they will take you through their traditions, such as traditional dance, beer making, and setting fire. Then, you'll return to Itambira Island, Seeds of Hope, for dinner and your overnight stay.
