Road Transfer From Dar es Salaam to Selous and Sunset Boat Safari

You will begin the safari at Dar es Salaam Airport/ a hotel or apartment within the city, with an early morning drive to Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival at Selous Kinga Lodge, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred for check-in. After lunch, you will proceed for an adventurous and romantic sunset boat safari along the Great Rufiji River. This offers an ample opportunity to spot hippos, crocodiles, and the abundant bird life while enjoying the spectacular sundown.

Exploration of Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, you will drive to the vast Selous Game Reserve to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. The Big Five —elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and giraffes are also quite common. You will have a picnic lunch break from a safe vantage point for a chance to spot the images of your dreams ranging from beautiful scenery to fascinating views of wildlife, in a natural habitat.

Walking Safari and Flight to Zanzibar/ Dar es Salaam

After your morning tea or coffee, you’ll depart the lodge and make your way around the reserve for an educative walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands. After that, you’ll head back to the lodge for a full breakfast. You’ll then check out and be transferred to the airstrip for departure on your scheduled flight to Zanzibar/ Dar es Salaam.
