Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Nairobi to Masai Mara

We will pick you up early in the morning and leave Nairobi for the Masai Mara with a stop at the Rift Valley. Drive down the Rift Valley and proceed to the Western walls, stopping at Narok to refuel. You will arrive in the Mara for lunch. Go on an evening game drive in the Mara, popular for the Big Five. You will return to the camp late in the evening, in time for dinner.

Day 2

Spend the full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve, driving across the plains in search of the big cats (black-maned lions, cheetahs, and leopards), with a picnic lunch served at the Mara River. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers during the annual migration, when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse the landscape to feed on the rich new grass.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Have breakfast at the camp, and then check out to drive to Nakuru. A trip to the Masai Mara National Reserve is not complete without an optional visit to a Maasai village for cultural practices such as songs, dances, jumping, and entertainment. You will return to the campsite for a full breakfast, check out, and drive to Nakuru, where you will arrive at the budget hotel in the afternoon. You can decide to take a walk in Nakuru city as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Early morning, after breakfast, proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Nakuru is home to white and black rhinos. The park is also home to the endangered species of Rothschild's giraffe and the reticulated giraffe. Later, proceed to Lake Naivasha, where you will spend your night.

You will enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel as you prepare for great activities at Hell’s Gate National Park. You can enjoy a safari drive with your guide or decide to cycle to cover the 14km down to the gorge. You'll enjoy a guided nature walk before ascending to the main gate, exit, and drive to Amboseli National Park with a stopover for lunch on the main highway. You'll arrive at Amboseli Campsite in time for sunset, check-in, dinner, a bonfire, and an overnight stay.

Amboseli full game drive

You will enjoy your African breakfast with great views of Amboseli National Park, the second-most visited after Masai Mara for its large herds of African elephants. The thrilling views of Mount Kilimanjaro, located on the Tanzanian side of Amboseli National Park, offer great views. You'll leave the campsite for an 8-hour Kenya safari game drive. You'll visit the Amboseli viewpoint and enjoy your picnic lunch at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will then continue with the drive in the park, and visit the swampy areas that attract many African wildlife searching for water. The jumbo elephants graze and bathe in the park's swampy area. You'll exit the park late afternoon and drive to the campsite for an optional activity, dinner, a bonfire, and an overnight stay.

Day 7

This is the final day of the Kenya budget camping safari experience in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a 2-hour game drive to see elephants, birds and the snow-peaked Kilimanjaro.

You will exit Amboseli National Park and drive back to Nairobi, arriving late in the evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport to catch your flight.
