Day 1

Nairobi - Amboseli

Pick up at residence or agreed place and depart Nairobi at 7.30 am and travel to the Amboseli National reserve at the foot of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and home to the giants (Elephants).
Arrival for check in at lunch at Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp.
Afternoon game drive - Against a backdrop of looming Mount Kilimanjaro, you can see everything from lush primeval swamps to wide, dry plains here. ‘Amboseli’ is an English corruption of the Maa word Empusel, meaning ‘salty, dry place’ but underground streams flowing from the melting ice-cap on Kili keep certain areas of the park well supplied with water, which in turn attracts elephants and plenty of birds.

Day 2

Amboseli - Lake Nakuru National park

Amboseli - Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and drive to Nakuru Town which will act as a break from the long drive. You will arrive for late lunch at the hotel then spend the afternoon visiting Lake Nakuru National Park which is famous for the endangered white rhino and many other animals. After the game drive you will be transferred back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara

Early breakfast is followed by check out from the hotel and transfer to Masai Mara by road. This park is a recommended all year destination for wildlife viewing. You will arrive for hot lunch at the camp then depart for an afternoon game drive for a chance to spot some members of the big five family. As the sun sets, you are transferred back to the camp for check in and rest.

Day 4

Masai Mara

Masai Mara

Early breakfast then depart from camp with picnic lunch and enjoy an early morning game drive for a chance to see the animals as they hunt. Spend time exploring the marvellous and extensive Mara Reserve looking for animals and taking photographs. The driver will drive you at a leisurely pace as you stop often to enable you watch animals, take pictures and enjoy bird watching. You will also see the wildebeest crossing (if already started) and the large Nile crocodile at Mara River and also large pods of hippo at the hippo pool during your picnic lunch. If lucky, you may also witness an adrenalin filled cheetah hunt close to the river or in the extensive plains. In the evening, you will transfer back to accommodation for dinner and rest.
