3-Day Mount Meru Climbing Adventure

Arusha Miriakamba Hut

After your morning breakfast, you'll depart Arusha at about 8:30 a.m. Our guide will drive you to Momella Gate. You'll make payment and start the climb with a picnic lunch to the first hut, called Miriakamba Hut. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the Miriakamba hut, which will take you some hours to reach.

Miriakamba to Saddle Hut

After a morning breakfast, you'll proceed with a climb to the second hut, called Saddle Hut. This is too steep compared to the first part. During the afternoon, you can decide to attempt climbing little Meru peak and back. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in Saddle Hut.

Meru Peak

You'll wake up at midnight and have a cup of tea before starting the attempt of the big Meru peak. You'll proceed to the summit, crossing the rocky path, and back to Saddle Hut for a full breakfast. Then, you'll take a short rest and leave Saddle Hut. You'll descend to Momella Gate via the first hut (Miriakamba) on the way to Momella and back to Arusha.
