You'll enjoy a wonderful day either in the morning or evening on a game drive. This beautiful gem of a national park is little known, despite its proximity to the world-famous Victoria Falls.
Split off from the Victoria Falls National Park in 1979, the 56,000 hectares of pristine wilderness and wildlife habitat has been a National Park in its own right ever since.
The park is bisected by a tar road that runs between Victoria Falls and the Kazangula border post. The park is home to a variety of larger mammal species including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and several antelope species such as elands, kudus, waterbucks, impalas, and Zimbabwe’s national animal, the majestic sable.

The River Club, Livingstone (Victoria Falls)
Just half an hour’s drive from the River Club is the mighty Victoria Falls. Known by the locals as ‘Mosi–oa-Tunya’ (meaning ‘the smoke that thunders’). The spray and the sound of the Falls can be seen and heard from many miles away.
The Zambian side of the falls provides a completely different vantage from that of the Zimbabwean side and during high water levels is certainly the best place to be.

In the later afternoon, you will enjoy a leisurely sundowner cruise up the Zambezi.
When the captain sees fit, he will switch off the engine and let the boat drift quietly downstream passing the odd elephant, hippo, or crocodile and an abundance of colorful bird life. The sunsets are particularly beautiful during the drier months.
You will enjoy the snacks and drinks provided. It is wise to take a jersey or anorak as an evening breeze can be chilly. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars too. The trip arrives back at the Club just after sunset!
