Gorilla Tracking in the Bwindi Forest
Have your breakfast early and pack your lunch. After that, your driver guide will take you to the park headquarters. At 8:00am, the park rangers will brief you on the park rules and what to do and not to do when you meet the gorillas. Tracking gorillas takes between two and eight hours. Ensure you carry enough drinking water, strong shoes, a jacket and a walking stick.
Meeting the gorillas will be a dream come true! Watch the playful juveniles, the silverbacks and other gentle giants feeding the young ones. Take as many photos as you want with your camera flash off. Later, head back to your lodge and rest. In the evening, you go on the Batwa trail. This will allow you to interact with the local community, learn how they live, and watch them perform their traditional dances and songs.
Return to the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
