Day 1

Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Safari starts after pickup from your city hotel at 7 am, driving through the Great Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint. On reaching your tented camp, have some lunch as you relax after the drive. In the afternoon head into the park to view the pristine Masai Mara game reserve.
The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion, as well as its abundant resident wildlife and its one of the few places where it's possible to see the big five on a game drive.
Drive back to the tented camp in the evening to have dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Full-day Masai Mara

Full-day Masai Mara

Have a full day of game viewing carrying packed lunch which will be served picnic-style inside the park.
For bird enthusiasts, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including the Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sun birds.
As the sun sets return to the tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today you can have a full day game drive, or return to the camp to have lunch then visit the Masai Village in the afternoon.
While the game viewing in the Mara is excellent year-round, there is also the opportunity to experience Kenya's rich cultural heritage. Many local communities still follow traditional ways of life, practicing ancient customs and rituals. Visiting villages provides an opportunity to understand Maasai traditions and history as well as community development and the preservation of traditional livelihoods.

Enjoy your last breakfast at the Masai Mara then depart to Nairobi. Have lunch en route. Drop off in Nairobi will be at your city hotel/JKIA Airport, marking the end of this safari.
