Day 1-2

Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta

After your airport pick-up, we will depart in 4x4 vehicles toward the Delta Region. Upon arrival at a mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) station, we’ll meet the local mokoro polers who will accompany us on today's excursion. The Okavango Delta, formed by water flowing from the Kavango River in the Angolan highlands, spreads across the upper Kalahari region, creating the largest inland delta in the world.

Studded with exotic islands, the Delta is renowned for its incredible birdlife and diverse wildlife unique to Southern Africa. We’ll navigate its channels and waterways in a mokoro, the traditional mode of transport in this area. During our stay, we’ll engage in activities such as game walks and mokoro excursions for two nights before heading back to Maun en route to the Moremi Game Reserve. Your accommodations will be in tents at camping sites.
