Day 1-2

The Chobe River – Big Game Country

The Chobe River – Big Game Country

Today, we will collect you at Kasane International Airport and transfer you to Chobe Elephant Camp for a two-night stay on a fully inclusive basis.

Perched on a forested ridge, the traditional safari camp offers panoramic river views at almost every turn. Game drives along the river floodplains are mixed with boat cruises to deliver a comprehensive Chobe experience. At its best in the May to October dry season, the river attracts vast numbers of animals, especially elephants, who crowd the water’s edge on a hot afternoon. The densities of game draw predators, especially lions and, increasingly, leopards, seen lurking in the riverine forest. River cruises allow you a closer look at Chobe. Watch for crocodiles, hippos, giant monitor lizards, and African fish eagles.

Main Destination:
Chobe National Park
Best Time To Visit April to October (Best at the riverfront area)
High Season July to October (The park gets crowded)
Best Weather May to August (Less hot during the day)

Khwai Concession - Diversity of Wildlife

Today you transfer back to the Kasane Airport. After arriving at Kasane Airport you’ll fly by shared charter flight to the Khwai Reserve which is situated directly next to the Moremi Game Reserve. You’ll be met & driven to Sango Safari Camp for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Today you’ll fly to a bush airstrip at the edge of the Okavango Delta and Sango Safari Camp. Lying under giant trees by the famous Khwai River, the camp overlooks the Moremi Game Reserve but sits in its own private concession. This enables Sango, a traditional canvas safari camp, to offer spot-lit night drives and guided walks in the concession in addition to drives in the Khwai Reserve & in the Moremi Game Reserve. You’ll even have the chance to visit the local village for an insight into life next to the Okavango Delta. Thanks to its permanent water and mix of habitats, the area has excellent year-round game viewing and a reputation for big cats and wild dogs.

From the Khwai Reserve you will fly by shared charter to the northern Okavango Delta. Your destination is Kadizora Camp, set under trees and overlooking grassy floodplains dotted with grazing antelope. Your tented chalet comes complete with lounge, en suite bathroom and viewing deck. Like most delta camps, Kadizora offers 4X4 game drives, boating and canoe safaris but between April and September, guests can also enjoy a unique experience: a hot air balloon flight over the Okavango Delta.
