4-Day Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park Camping Safari

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Transfer to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Our guide will welcome you at Upington Airport or any other place in Upington. The collection time will depend on the time of your flight's arrival (usually mid-day) or if we collect you at a different location in Upington; ideally, between 10:00am and 1:00pm are convenient.

We then travel up north through the Kalahari's red dunes to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park gates at Twee Rivieren. The journey takes about 2 hours.

On arrival, we set up camp, and you can have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure and to relax. Our guides will prepare the camp for you, so feel free to explore Twee Rivieren as we settle in. We enjoy a late safari into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, searching for wildlife.

Finally, we will return to camp for a wonderful dinner.

Exploring the Kalahari

Spend two full days enjoying a typical safari itinerary.

Be up early at about 6:00am (depending on the time of year) for tea or coffee before we head off on a morning safari. Typically morning safaris last longer than evening ones, as animals are active until quite late before it becomes too hot (season dependent). After heading out for about 4 hours, we return to camp for a hearty meal.

You can relax at the camp during the day's heat and use the facilities like the swimming pool, small shop, restaurant, and lots of space to wander around enjoying the bush (the camp is fenced for safety from the large predators).

In the late afternoon (about 4:00pm), we head off on a safari exploring other regions of the area.

Finally, we will return to the camp for dinner and spend time around the fire.

Transfer to Upington

On your final morning, depending on what time you must be back in Upington, we can enjoy an early safari.

Return to camp for breakfast and clear out the camp. Then, check out and drive back to Upington for your flight home or your own itinerary.
