Dar to Mikumi NP

Picked up earlier morning at ferry or airport or hotel to commence the 5-6 hour drive to Mikumi National Park. Situated between the Uluguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley Escarpments to the Southwest, the park is in close proximity to the Selous ecosystem, resulting in a high game density. Mikumi National Park offers a great opportunity to experience the diverse African wildlife and is ideal for a short visit.
After arrival at Mikumi National Park you have the opportunity to embark on the late evening game drive and night game drives around the park. Overnight at Bastian Camp or similar.

Unforgattable Tour

Full day of game drives around Mikumi. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly miombo woodland with gently rolling hills.

Back to Dar es salaam

After breakfast proceed with a morning game drive or return to Dar Es Salaam depending on planned arrival time in Dar Es Salaam. Arrival in the late afternoon/early evening including transfer back to the hotel in Dar es Salaam or catch the ferry for Zanzibar. Breakfast and lunch included.

This Safari can also be organised from Zanzibar, adding a 2 hrs boat transfer or a flight from Zanzibar to Dar.
