Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and have an en route game drive as you exit the park. Drive to Lake Naivasha, arrive and check in at the lodge as well as have lunch. Afterwards proceed to Crescent Island, take a nature walk as you enjoy the nature with views of zebras, waterbucks, giraffes among other animals and birds. Later enjoy a boat ride in the lake. Lake Naivasha is the highest and most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. The water is fresh at 1,910m (6,200ft). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch, while herons hide in it as they search for food. Naivasha is a popular area for bird watching, with over 400 species recorded. It is also a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents, who come here to sail, relax and eat fish. Despite the presence of hippos, there are no crocodiles in the lake, as the water is too cold for them due to the altitude.
