Day 1

Our guide will pick you from your hotel or airport and transfer to Sipi Falls in Eastern Uganda at the edge of Mt Elgon in Kapchorwa district, Northeast of Sironko and Mbale. Drive through the beautiful Mabira forest, Lugazi sugar plantation. Upon reaching Sipi with lunch break and relaxation as we are waiting for the great Sipi falls exploration. At least 3 waterfalls can be visited with a rewarding coffee tour processing experience where you will take photos and visit the caves, later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Transfer to Moroto through Pian Upe Wildlife reserve – Visit Karamajong Museum

With breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge to start off the journey to the North East side of Uganda to Moroto via Pian Upe reserve. We will continue with the safari by going through the Karamojong tribes hoping for a market day to visit and interact with the locals. It is a very remote area with scenic reserves, local people, markets in most untouched area and remote village set up. Chances to be greeted by ostriches at the Pian upe wildlife reserve are high. Continue the drive to Moroto Check in your lodge for relaxation and in the evening, visit the great museum of karamoja where you will be able to know a lot of history about karamoja and the people living there.

With breakfast at leisure, we leave the slops of Mount Moroto and drive through the Tribes of Matheniko and Tepeth via Matheniko and Bokora wildlife reserve until we arrive at Nakaperimoru village in Kotido. (Nakaperimoru village is the largest Karamojong village in the whole of East Africa). Later proceed with your tour to Kidepo Valley national park. Enter the park in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and a wooded hill, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners. During the evening game-drive you will be able see herds of elephants, herds of buffaloes, jackals, lions, giraffes kobs and many other animals that are in the park. Retire the day at the lodge.

Day 4

With an early coffee we go to explore Kidepo valley national park with a morning drive hoping for the predators since they are more active during this time. Depending on the weather, we can as well proceed to Kanangorok hot spring area crossing the sand river (if there is water in the sand river game-drive can be done in another area). A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich, later return back for lunch. Afterward we shall transfer to break our journey and overnight in Gulu city at African Roots hotel.
