Day 1

Fly From Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Fly From Arusha to Serengeti National Park

The Western corridor of Serengeti has swampy wooded land and a dense underground forest with black cotton soil which is sparse in heavy rain. Due to this, there are a lot of baboons, patas monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and many others. The zone is allocated to the Grumeti and Mbalageti Rivers which drain their water to Lake Victoria and have a lot of crocodiles and hippos.

The forest accommodates more than 400 bird species. According to the migration pattern around April, animals seem to be concentrated at this part hence many preys vs predator actions.

Main Destination:
Western Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)
Best Weather June to October (Little to no rainfall)

Day 2

Explore the Serengeti National Park

Explore the Serengeti National Park

At 6 am, have a light breakfast at your camp, and at 6:30, be ready for pick-up for a sunrise game drive in Serengeti. This early game drive should not be missed as it is the time when animals are most active as they search for food. At 10 am, we return for a full breakfast at the camp and then continue with a full-day game drive. We'll have lunch at 1 pm at the picnic site. In the evening, you will drive to the Nyani Campsite for dinner and overnight.

The Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley) has dotted acacia vegetation which appears in a group-like structure known as kopjes which provides a good vantage for predators to spot their prey. It is thus likely that you'll see lion, cheetah, and African leopard. The kopjes also seem to accommodate pythons and many lizards.

Today, you can also opt to book a hot-air balloon ride for an extra $600 per person and do the sunrise game viewing from inside the balloon.
