Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

The drive from Moshi to Tarangire National Park takes about three hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. Your overnight stay will be at the Highview Hotel.

Day 2

Lake Natron

Lake Natron

After breakfast, the drive to Lake Natron has a number of activities that are very easily combined with walks in the middle of the day there is the nearby Ngare Sero gorge. You can walk to options of long hikes to the source or shorter hikes to waterfalls. The staff are on hand to make you stay as adventurous or relaxing as you want. Late afternoon, you will drive to Highview Hotel for your overnight stay. FB.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Then in the late evening, you'll drive to and stay overnight at the Serengeti Wild Camp or Ikoma Wild Camp and Cottages on full board.

Day 4

Serengeti Wilderness Corners

Serengeti Wilderness Corners

After breakfast, you will venture into the Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of wildlife viewing in the park. You'll carry with you a picnic lunch. If you prefer some physical activity, you'll drive back to the Ikoma Area and a nice walking tour along the Grumeti River. In the late evening, you'll return to the Ikoma Wild Camp and Cottages for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you'll drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos as well as the pride of lions which include the magnificent black-maned males. There are lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife that you can see include leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Highview Hotel on full board.

Southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You'll enjoy a morning hike in the Southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the elephant cave and waterfall. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Iraqw tribe cultural center in Karatu to learn how the tribe protected their cattle from Maasai incursions using underground settlements. Your overnight stay will be at Highview Hotel. FB.

Day 7

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

The drive from the Highview Hotel to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 30 minutes. After having a picnic lunch in Manyara, you will start a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others. In the late afternoon, you will drive back to the Springlands Hotel in Moshi.
