Program: On this day, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and proceed to Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch. After the game drive, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Description: The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, which is the only source of water for the wild animals during the Dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees and tree-climbing African pythons.

Day 2

Karatu – Serengeti

Program: After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel. We will then drive up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will continue crossing the Ngorongoro highland up to the entrance of Serengeti National Park, where we will start a game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Description: Serengeti National Park is located in northern Tanzania and is a World Heritage Site. It has an area of around 15,000 square kilometers and is home to over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species. During the Dry season, this area has massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra. However, the Northern Serengeti also supports an abundance of resident wildlife, including lion, elephant, hippo, giraffe, crocodile and the rare oribi antelope.

Day 3

Program: After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a game drive with a picnic lunch. On this day, your guide will try to cover the best parts of Serengeti Central that you couldn’t cover on the first day. In the late afternoon, you will drive out of Serengeti and drive up to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will overnight on the crater rim.

Program: After breakfast, we will drive up to the gates of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Inside the crater, you will be able to see a great number of animals living within the crater, including lions, buffalos, zebras, hyenas, and antelopes. If we are lucky, we will see a rhino. We will enjoy a picnic lunch along the crater lake. After the game drive, you will drive to Karatu and overnight at the lodge near Lake Manyara National Park.

Description: The crater is the world's largest caldera, formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level. The area has around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds.

Day 5

Karatu - Lake Manyara - Airport

Program: After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or lodge and then proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and a picnic lunch. After the game drive, transfer to Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport, where the safari will end.

Description: Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of only 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), of which up to 200 square kilometers (77 square miles) is made up of the lake when water levels are high. Lake Manyara is an excellent place for bird watching and a good area to find elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos and maybe even a legendary tree-climbing lion! At some point during your game drive, you will exit your vehicle at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos.
