After breakfast, you'll start your safari with a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park from Kampala. You'll have stopovers in the countryside to view the stretching landscapes, crater lakes, villages, and vast tea plantations. You'll continue with your journey until you arrive in Fort Portal for check-in at the lodge in the late evening. The lodge is located in a beautiful area close to a crater lake bordering Kibale Forest.

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Kibale National Park is a rainy forest and home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. During a morning chimp-trekking experience, you will see them up close and capture shots of these almost-human cousins that live in the jungle. You will observe their frenzied and excited moods while they're grooming. Besides the chimps, 9 different species of monkeys can also be encountered during this adventure, including red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and bush babies. Other forest residents include various bird species like the native great blue turaco, joyful greenbul, and the superb black beefeater.
After the trek, immediately you'll start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with amazing views of the fabled Rwenzori Mountains. You'll drive southwards along the Rwenzori range or drive through the crater lakes in the hills to view the surprising diversity of savannah trees and wildlife. You'll arrive at the lodge and enjoy the impressive view over Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you'll head out to discover Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll go for an early game drive that exposes you to diverse savannah wildlife, including some members of the Big Five, like elephants, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. Other small animals include warthogs. Carnivores like hyenas and many more species that are residents of this park can be spotted along the circuit. There is a rich bird diversity, especially the storks in the wetlands and the lesser flamingoes in the salt lakes. After lunch, it is time for the 3 pm boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, which lasts 2 hours. Here, you'll have the chance to spot hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, and many more along the banks of the channel.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector
You'll transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on your way to Bwindi. This area is known for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha, you will drive off into this vast savannah wilderness filled with topis and elephants. Hopefully, if you are lucky, you will get to see lions resting high in the fig tree branches. You'll continue with a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here, you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savannah to cultivated hills, to jungle-covered mountains. Should you arrive early, you'll take a village walk and mix with the local Batwa pygmies who will entertain you with exciting performances and traditional songs.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
You'll have breakfast and prepare for the main highlight of this 6-day safari. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to the forest giants, and the mountain gorillas, and today, you get to meet them. You will set off into the forest with a specialized guide, trek through beautiful nature and finally get to spend one hour in the area where the mountain gorillas live. Besides the gorillas, this Impenetrable Forest is filled with birds, butterflies, and plant species, as well as forest hogs, elephants, sitatungas, and duikers.
After the trekking, you'll transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, located amidst the terraced hills of Kabale. You may take a leisurely canoe tour to explore some lush islands that make up this lake.

Transfer Back to Kampala
You'll have an early morning breakfast overlooking the mystical Bunyonyi. Thereafter, you'll proceed on the drive back to Kampala, with a stopover at the equator monument and lunch in Mbarara. You will drive back through to Kampala/Entebbe where your guide will drop you at the airport for your onward journey.
