Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

We depart from Arusha at 8 am and head to Tarangire National Park. It takes only a 2 to 2.5 hours (120km) drive to reach the national park entrance.

You will have about 10 minutes for the washroom at the entrance while your guide completes the legal formalities at the park authority offices. Thereafter, continue on the morning and afternoon game drives (lunch included).

In the early evening after the game drive, you will exit the park and head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast, we depart from the campsite and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is a 45-minute to 1-hour (43 km) drive to reach the Ngorongoro entrance.

While your guide completes the registration formalities at the authority offices, you will have about 10 minutes to look around the area or use the washroom. After registration, your adventure in the Ngorongoro Crater begins.

After a great game drive in the crater, including lunch at the Engoitoktok picnic site, you will exit the park and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today is your final day of an amazing 3 days of wildlife adventures in the Northern parks where you will visit Lake Manyara. After breakfast, exit the campsite and head to the park.

After almost 30 minutes (28km), you arrive at the park entrance. The morning game drive will begin after completing the legal formalities.

Enjoy your lunch at the picnic site before proceeding with the afternoon game drive till evening. Later, you will exit the park and return to the Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 4

Arusha - Mount Kilimanjaro - Zanzibar

Arusha - Mount Kilimanjaro - Zanzibar

After an early breakfast at 7:00 am at the hotel, you’ll be picked up at 7:30 am by our guide and driver. Proceed to Kilimanjaro National Park gate, a drive of almost 2.5 to 3 hours.

After arrival, you will spend about 10 minutes for registration, whereafter you’ll start the climb. Walk through the rainforest to the Mandara encampment.

A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. In the rainforest, look for towering eucalyptus trees, birdlife, and colobus monkeys.

Later in the afternoon, you will drive back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your transfer to Zanzibar and arrive at your hotel for overnight.

Day 5

Zanzibar City tour and Prison Island

Zanzibar City tour and Prison Island

After breakfast, you will meet your guide and start a tour exploring Zanzibar city with its locals at Stone Town. See the buildings and local markets and get to know the history of this archipelago.

You’ll explore the history of the Old Slave Market, then visit the Old Fort, Freddie Mercury's house, the first East African building to have an elevator. See the different houses build in different styles in Stone Town such as the house of the slave master Tip Tip, and Princess Salme's house.

You will also explore the doorway styles of Zanzibar (Indian style and Arab style) which were built in early times but are now readily available.

At 1 pm, we have lunch at the picnic site or any good restaurant in the city. We continue to the breathtaking Prison Island. It’s a very quiet place to visit and is filled with giant tortoises believed to be more than 100 years old. You’ll get a full colonial history of how prisons were ruined. In the late evening, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 6

Safari Blue

Have a 7 am breakfast at the lodge and be picked up at 8 am by our guide who will brief you about the tour. Safari Blue is among the classic watersport adventures in Zanzibar. This trip involves sailing with a boat to different islands like Fumba, Menai, etc. During the tour, you’ll be offered snacks and soft drinks. The tour highly depends on sea weather so it may even start earlier.

It’s a 6-hour excursion where our guide will take you to a nice beach (Nungwi or Kendwa) for sailing. Upon arrival, you’ll be offered all safety and snorkeling gear and then board the boat. The captain will stop at 2 potential points where you can snorkel and see a beautiful coral reef with a lot of fish species and wonderful mangroves.

Have lunch at the picnic site between 1 and 2 pm. Afterward, if you're not too tired, our guide may offer you another trip where you can sand bath and swim till late evening. Later, you will be taken back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up and head to "Spice Island". On the spice tour, you’ll be taken to an organic farm where spices are planted, cultivated, harvested, packed, and processed throughout the year.

Zanzibar is a small island but one of the best spice producers. Spices and herbs such as clove, lemongrass, turmeric, vanilla, coconut, papaya, black pepper, jack fruit, chilly, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, and many others are all found in Zanzibar.

After lunch, you’ll have a market trip and a short shop to see how these fresh spices from the farm have been packed and placed where people from different parts, either from within or outside the island, buy spices and herbs (cash only). We hope that you’ll take some home to your mother country.

After the spice tour, you’ll be taken to Kendwa Beach to swim and sand bath. In the late evening, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
