Day 1
Nairobi
Nairobi
Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative along with your driver-guide. You will receive our souvenir safari hat, not only as a gift from us but also as the perfect way to begin your Morindat African Safari.
After loading your luggage onto your vehicle, you will be transferred to your airport hotel for some leisure time as you prepare for your safari experience. The drive takes approximately 25 minutes, after which you will arrive at your hotel for check in and relaxation.
A modern and relatively young city, Nairobi flourished and expanded after the construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway established a supply depot at “Mile 327” in 1899. Today, a small railway museum pays tribute to the workers and engineers who built the tracks that opened up the country’s interior. The museum features original wagons and engines that were shipped in by the British, piece by piece, from India.

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart for Amboseli National Park. We’ll arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch at the camp, followed by a relaxing break before your afternoon game drive.
Amboseli’s shimmering landscape is shaped by mirages rising from the dried-up salt pan of the ancient Lake Amboseli. Towering over it all is the imposing Mount Kilimanjaro, whose freshwater streams nourish the marshes and swamps of Ol Tukai, sustaining the park’s wildlife. Amboseli is Kenya’s premier destination for big game photography and home to the country’s largest elephants, as well as buffalos, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and other plains game. Hippos silently guard the pools and marshes, which serve as a refuge from the midday heat for both animals and the park’s numerous bird species.

After breakfast, you will depart for the Lake Naivasha region, driving via Nairobi with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint.
Lake Naivasha, a beautiful and expansive lake in the Rift Valley, derives its name from the Maa word for "tempestuous" or "moody." During the early 20th century colonial era, Naivasha was at the heart of the opulent ‘Happy Valley’ settler community, a group equally renowned for their tempestuousness.
Lake Naivasha is a popular destination for visitors looking to enjoy a leisurely boat ride while admiring over 350 species of birds, including fish eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, purple gallinules, lily-trotters, red-knobbed coots, and black crakes. Masai Mara Game Reserve
Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast at the camp, you’ll proceed on a full-day game drive in the reserve.
The Masai Mara National Reserve spans approximately 1,510 km² (583 sq mi) in southwestern Kenya. It forms the northernmost section of the vast Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, which extends over 25,000 km² (9,700 sq mi) across Tanzania and Kenya. The reserve is bordered by Serengeti National Park to the south, the Siria Escarpment to the west, and Maasai pastoral ranches to the north, east, and west.
Rainfall in the ecosystem follows a distinct southeast–northwest gradient, varying both spatially and seasonally, with a bimodal distribution. The reserve is primarily drained by three major rivers—the Sand, Talek, and Mara. Lush vegetation, including shrubs and trees, lines the drainage areas and covers hillslopes and hilltops, providing essential habitats for the region’s diverse wildlife.
In the evening, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
