Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Early morning after breakfast, you will depart to Lake Manyara National Park which is an unspoilt paradise and is best known for its abundance of birds and tree-climbing lions. The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms the park’s western border. To the east is the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara. The lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos during the rains. The name Manyara comes from the Maasai word ‘emanyara’, a popular plant that is used to build the protective enclosure around a family homestead (boma). The park’s vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to evergreen forest. On your exploration of the park, you may see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants and if you are lucky lions lounging in the trees.
After lunch and an extensive game drive, you will head for your comfortable lodges in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Karatu to Lake Natron
After breakfast at your accommodation, you will head out for Lake Natron. Wild and remote Lake Natron lies in the northeast of Tanzania in between the Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains. Here it is the landscape rather than the animals that is the attraction. The area around the lake inhabited by Maasai is dry, desolate and hauntingly beautiful. You will have a unique opportunity to do a lake visit as well as a waterfall visit before you end your day. You will arrive at your accommodation in time for dinner.

Lake Natron to Northern Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will drive to the northern region of the Serengeti. It is a vast pristine area of wooded rolling hills interspersed with open grassy patches and large granite outcrops. The Northern Serengeti offers a chance to escape the crowd. This region of the park wedged between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north is remote and relatively inaccessible, which means it sees fewer visitors. Travellers who make it to this corner of the Serengeti will be rewarded with gorgeous landscapes of green rolling hills, granite outcrops and acacia woodlands dotting open savanna. There are incredible wildlife and most importantly massive herds of wildebeests and zebras, making the dangerous crossing of the crocodile-infested Mara River during the Great Migration in June and July and again in September, October and November. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your carefully selected accommodation.

After breakfast, you will head straight to the central Serengeti National Park. The drive takes almost 2 hours and you will return to Seronera with further opportunities to experience the incredible wildlife and natural beauty of the Serengeti. You will get another opportunity to experience the vast wilderness while heading to the central Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania was established in 1951. It is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth—the great migration of wildebeests and zebras. The resident population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and birds is also impressive. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Embalakai Camp.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will continue with your en-route drive inside the Serengeti National Park before you depart to Ngorongoro Crater. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhinos, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.
After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, you will head for your comfortable lodges in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will depart to Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbucks and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet!
After lunch and an extensive game drive, you will head back to Arusha.
