Day 1

Arrival in Lusaka

Arrival in Lusaka

Your guide will pick you up from the airport in Lusaka and take you to do some shopping for the next few days. You will then drive to a small lodge on the outskirts of town for your overnight stay in chalets at Wilddog Lodge or Pioneer Camp. Dinner will be at a restaurant.

Day 2-3

Lower Zambezi National Park

Lower Zambezi National Park

You will wake up early for breakfast and be driven through Lusaka and down the escarpment to the Zambezi Valley. You will be visiting Lower Zambezi Park which will be one of the highlights of your trip in Zambia. The Zambezi River on one side and the escarpment on the other form a wonderful backdrop for your game viewing. We can also take you on amazing game drives through the park. Your overnight stay will be in Kasaka River Lodge (or similar) on the banks of the Zambezi River. (2x FB).

Day 4

Lower Zambezi National Park

You will spend another amazing day on safari in Lower Zambezi National Park. We will take you on a game drive in the morning and a sunset cruise in the afternoon. On your cruise, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and watch the animals come to drink from the river. Your overnight stay will be in a safari tent at Kasaka River Lodge on the bank of the Zambezi River. (FB).

Day 5-6

Lusaka to Kafue National Park

Lusaka to Kafue National Park

Today you will drive up the escarpment and back to Lusaka where you will do some shopping for the next days in the bush. In the afternoon we carry on to Kafue National Park, where we stay in safari tents at Mawimbi Bushcamp on the bank of the Kafue River. On day 6 we will explore this area on game drives (2x FB).

Day 7-8

Busanga Plains

Busanga Plains

Transfer in north-western direction to Busanga Plains. This area can only be visited in a very limited time of the year. You will spend 2 days in this remote wilderness to explore the area on game drives. Game occurs plentiful in the plains. Overnight in Kasonso Camp (2x FB).

Day 9

Lusaka

Lusaka

We leave the park on our last game drive and then carry on to Mumbwa on the tar road. This town is about 2 hours away from the capital Lusaka. We stop over here, will spend the rest of the day in the afternoon at the lodge and have dinner in the restaurant. (B/L/-).

After breakfast we drive to Lusaka. We stop at a restaurant for lunch and then carry on to the airport for the domestic flight to Mfuwe at 16:35. After arrival transfer to our lodge next to the uangwa River. Dinner at the lodge. Your overnight stay will be in chalets at Wildlife Camp or similar (B/-/D).

South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa National Park is known for its abundance of African wildlife: Thorneycroft’s giraffe, Cookson’s Gnu, Crawshay Zebra, and big herds of buffalos and elephants.
Game drives along the Luangwa River often produce spectacular sightings. Hippo families can be seen in great numbers in the river, unparalleled in Africa.
The colorful Carmine bee-eaters are often seen perching in front of their nests in the riverbanks.
Your overnight stay will be in chalets of Wildlife camp or similar (3x FB).
