Arrive at Entebbe International Airport during the day or evening, where you will be met by our safari representative, who will also serve as your guide throughout your Ugandan safari. You will then be transferred to your hotel to rest and prepare for the adventures beginning the following day.

Day 2

After breakfast, we’ll begin our safari with a transfer toward the crater lakes region near Fort Portal. It’s a long drive, but since part of the distance was covered the previous day, the pressure and fatigue are reduced. Along the way, we’ll make stopovers to enjoy scenic views, including traditional African village settings in the countryside and sprawling tea plantations, which are perfect opportunities to stretch your legs and take in the surroundings. We’ll check in during the afternoon to a lodge in an area known for its lovely scenery. Later, we’ll take a guided nature walk to the "Top of the World," where, on a clear day, you can enjoy views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges and the surrounding crater lakes. You will retire for the night at the lodge.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, you’ll head into the forest of Kibale—the Primate City—for your morning chimpanzee trekking experience, which lasts about three hours. As an optional upgrade, you can take part in chimpanzee habituation, where you spend the entire day following the chimps. This is a truly exclusive and immersive experience. Please note that habituation is not included in the stated price; let us know at the time of booking if you’d like to include it.
Kibale Forest is a tropical rainforest and home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. Here, you'll have the opportunity to observe these fascinating primates up close, capturing moments of them grooming, thinking, and sharing food. You may also spot rare bird species that tend to follow the chimps, and on a lucky day, the red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and bush babies.
After the trek, your guide will pick you up and return you to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature walk in the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Day 4

Enjoy a crater exploration with a walk to the crater lake. If you're lucky, you may spot different monkey speices, including red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and bush babies. The forest canopy is also home to a colorful array of butterflies and diverse bird species such as the native great blue turaco, the joyful greenbul, the olive long-tailed cuckoo, and the superb black bee-eater.
Afterwards, you’ll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You have the option to drive further south, with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains (the longest mountain range in Africa), or to take a scenic route through the Crater Lakes in the hills.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George. Look out for hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and the Nile crocodile, as well as many water birds, such as the pied kingfisher and the fish eagle. Afterward, check in at your lodge and relax for the evening.

Day 5

Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning with an early game drive that offers the chance to see a wide variety of animals. You may spot the “Big Five,” elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, and big cats such as lions and leopards (which are often more active in the early hours or later in the evening). All of these and more are visible along the game drive circuits we’ll visit. This safari also introduces you to Uganda’s rich birdlife. The park boasts a wide variety of bird species, especially in the wetlands, where you may encounter Uganda’s version of storks, as well as flamingoes in the salt lakes.
Continue your journey toward the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as the Ishasha Sector, which is famous for its population of tree-climbing lions. Retire for the evening at the lodge.

Day 6

We will head out into the adventurous, vast savannah of the Ishasha area in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we may encounter topis, the southern variant of elephants, and, if we're lucky, lions lounging in the branches of fig trees. Ishasha is one of only two places in Africa where lions are known to regularly climb trees to rest.
From there, we’ll transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. The scenic drive takes you from open savannah, through terraced hills, and into the jungle-covered highlands of Bwindi. If we arrive early, there's an option to take a walk and interact with the local community or enjoy a performance by a local orphan group.
End the day at your lodge, with views overlooking the impenetrable forest through your window.

Day 7

Have an early breakfast surrounded by views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the forest giants, our close cousins, the mountain gorillas. This marks a highlight of your safari as you embark on a gorilla trekking experience. In a guided group led by a specialized ranger, you will walk through the fascinating jungle and spend one hour with the mountain gorillas. The Impenetrable Forest is also home to a variety of birds, butterflies, plant species, forest hogs, forest elephants, sitatungas, and duikers.
After the trek, we’ll drive through the neck of the forest, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, and sections of rainy forest, as we transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa" due to its stunning scenery and endless hills. In the evening, we’ll check in at 1,840 meters above sea level. Here, you can relax after the trek and even take a swim if it’s not too cold (the lake is free from bilharzia, hippos, and crocodiles).

Day 8

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll take a boat cruise around the islands of Lake Bunyonyi, sharing the history and cultural significance of the various islands as we enjoy the. After the cruise, we bid farewell to the stunning "Lake of Many Birds" and continue our journey towards Lake Mburo National Park.
We’ll arrive at the park in time for lunch at the lodge. You may choose to take a short swim at the lodge to cool off and refresh. In the afternoon, we’ll head out for a game drive to see zebras, topis, warthogs, Cape buffaloes, and impalas. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 9

Start the day early with a safari walk that brings you close to nature. You’ll be amidst zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, birds, and buffaloes as they begin their day in the wild. After the walk, enjoy breakfast at the lodge before setting off for Entebbe, marking the end of your amazing Ugandan safari. We’ll arrive in Entebbe in the afternoon, and you can choose to depart in the evening or spend an additional night in Entebbe and depart the next day.
