Day 1

Arrival to Moshi

Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport at your arrival time and transfer to Moshi Keys lodge.
Meet and greet the team and briefing on your kilimanjaro ascension. We will check on your equipment and if necessary drive to the shop for renting extra equipment. Enjoy the evening and dinner at the lodge.

Day 2

Machame Gate to Machame Hut

The climb starts from machame gate (1830m), we walk through the lush lower slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Slowly gaining altitude while enjoying the diverse flora and fauna of the rain forest, you will arrive to the first Machame Hut, situated at 3000m above sea level If is a clear day we may get our first closer look at the glaciated dome of Kibo if the evening clouds permit.

Day 3

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

A shorter day climbing up a steep ridge to reach a small semicircular cliff known as Picnic site, and continue up a gentler ascent through the lower alpine moorland, which is known for beautiful wild alpine flowers.
The most spectacular views of Kibo peak can be seen from Shira Camp.

Day 4

Shira Camp to Barranco Valley

Today we walk on a gentle ascent and panoramic views. We traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach and after hot lunch the bottom of the Lava Tower (4,600 m.) we descend to the bottom of the Great Barranco valley (3,900 m.).

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

A steep climb up the eastern wall leads us just below the Heim Glacier, where we may have some spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. We then take a steep exit up the Great Barranco Wall, which divides us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo, the trail continues down into the alpine desert of the Karanga Valley. After a short break for a hot lunch we take a steep climb out of Karanga, and an easy path on compacted scree with wide views through this empty and dry landscape up to Barafu Camp.
The
two peaks Kibo and Mawenzi can been seen from Barafu Camp. After a hot lunch at the Camp, The remainder of the day is spent resting as we prepare for the final ascent before an early night summit walk.

Day 6

Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp

Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp

Elevation Gain: 1,295 meters, 4,240 feet Elevation Loss: 2,795 meters, 9,170 feet
Distance: 18 kilometers
Around midnight, begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. For the next six hours, hike by the light of your headlamp. The ascent to the crater rim is the most challenging part of the entire trek.
The trail is very steep until you reach the crater rim at Stella Point.
The hike from Stella Point to Uhuru Peak is a gradual climb and, as far as hikes go, not very difficult. The altitude, however, makes the hike long and tiring. The crater rim hike takes approximately one hour. Upon reaching Uhuru, take photos with your guide and group at the peak before beginning the descent to Mweka Camp. On the way down from Uhuru, enjoy views of the mountain, crater, clouds and glaciers. At Barafu Camp, eat breakfast and take a short break. You still have another three to five hours to go before reaching Mweka Camp.

Day 7

Descent – Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi

Descent – Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi.
A gentle walk takes us down through the rainforest to Mweka gate successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. After lunch we drive back to moshi at Key Lodge BB.
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate: 3-5 hours walking.
We will drive to the hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Today we will wake up early and after breakfast we will depart towards Tarangire National park for a full day safari.
Tarangire is one of the best parks and famous for its big groups of elephants around the Tarangire river. A very rich ecosystem with magnificent Baobab trees and other animals of the African savannah.
In the evening we will leave the park and drive to your lodge.

Descend to Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full day safari down to the crater. The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals.
Picnic lunch inside the park and the in the evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Masai Village experience

After early breakfast we will enter the masai Village for a morning tour where you will meet the masai tribe. The masai are a friendly and welcoming tribe, they will show you around their village and explain you their way of living.
In the afternoon, after picnic lunch, we will depart to Arusha or dropped off at Kilimanjaro International airport.
