On this day our safari guide will pick you up from Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport and proceed to Tarangire National Park for game viewing and a picnic lunch. After the game drive, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, which is the only source of water for the wild animals here during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons.

Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel. You will drive up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will continue crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands up to the entrance of Serengeti National Park, where you will start the game drive. In the evening, you will be heading to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti is a park located in northern Tanzania and is a world heritage site occupying an area of around 15,000 square kilometers, with over 2 million herbivores, 4000 lions, 1000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and some 500 bird species. This area has massive herds of migratory wildebeests and zebras during the dry season. However, the North Serengeti also supports an abundance of resident wildlife including lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelopes.

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a game drive with a picnic lunch. On this day your guide will try to cover the best parts of Serengeti Central which you couldn’t cover on the first day. In the late afternoon, you will drive out of Serengeti and drive up to the Ngorongoro Crater where you will stay overnight on the crater rim.

Ngorongoro Crater then Transfer to Airport
After breakfast, you will drive up to the gates of Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend the crater where you will be able to see a great number of animals living within the crater including lions, buffalos, zebra, hyenas, and antelopes. If you are lucky you, will be able to see rhinoceros. You'll have a picnic lunch along the crater lake. After the game drive, you will drive to Arusha where your safari will end.
The crater is the world's largest caldera which was formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2-3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, and the area has around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds. In the late afternoon, your guide will transfer you to the airport departing to your home, or continue with the next destination.
