After an early breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your lodge for a full-day safari in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is beautifully unspoiled, offering sweeping views of volcanic mountain formations. The park is especially known for its large elephant population that migrates along the Tarangire River. You may also spot tree-climbing lions, which are relatively common in this area. Enjoy a packed lunch at one of picnic areas. In the evening, you'll head back to your lodge.

Day 2

Depart in the morning after breakfast for a safari across the Ngorongoro Highlands en route to the Serengeti. Stop for a sight of this breathtaking scenery before the final stretch to the park. On our way to Naabi Gate, we will pass by Olduvai Gorge for an optional visit to one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Enjoy your picnic lunch at Naabi Gate and then spend the rest of the afternoon on a game drive inside the park. At sundown, you’ll check in at your lodge for a relaxing evening in the savannah.

Day 3

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a full day game drive on the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, covering 14,763 square kilometers of protected area bordering Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. It is the Great Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous, as millions of wildebeest and zebra search for greener pastures. You’ll spend the day in search of the “Big Five,” and in the evening, drive back to your tented camp.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will begin our journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera at 8,300 sq km and is often described as one of the natural wonders of the world, not only for its geological significance, but because it serves as a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of great mammals. Ngorongoro and other free-standing mountains in the region are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift Valley 15 to 20 million years ago. At its peak around three million years ago, Ngorongoro was similar in height to Mount Kilimanjaro today.
Enjoy an amazing safari day in the crater, and in the afternoon, we will drive to your lodge.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater - Maasai Village - Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - Maasai Village - Arusha
After breakfast, we will visit a Maasai village for a morning tour and to meet members of the Maasai tribe. The Maasai are known for being friendly and welcoming. You’ll learn about their way of life and community structure. After the village visit, we will stop in Mto wa Mbu for a look at the local markets and an optional bicycle tour. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Arusha City for drop-off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home or to Zanzibar.
