Dar es Salaam and Same Town

You will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam in the morning and proceed toward Mkomazi National Park with packed lunch boxes. You will pass through the Pare Mountains with stops for photo opportunities. Enjoy your picnic lunch on the way to Mkomazi National Park. You will arrive in Same Town in the mid-afternoon where you will check in at Nzoroko Hotel to relax and have an overnight stay on a full-board basis.

Mkomazi National Park and Black Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, you will drive into Mkomazi National Park with packed lunch boxes. You will do a morning game drive inside the park and have a picnic lunch.

Mkomazi National Park is a spectacular wilderness. To the northwest, you will have the view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest summit. To the south, the Pare and Usambara Mountains form a dramatic backdrop. To the north, Kenya’s vast Tsavo National Park shares a border with Mkomazi, making common ground for migratory herds of elephant, oryx, and zebra during the Wet season. Together with Tsavo, it forms one of the largest and most important protected ecosystems on earth.

In the afternoon, you will do more game drives with a visit to the Black Rhino Sanctuary inside Mkomazi National Park. Return to the Nzoroko Hotel in Same Town on a full-board basis.

Same and Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, you will drive back to Dar es Salaam with a picnic lunch on the way. On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be transferred to the Dar es Salaam ferry terminal for your 16h00 fast ferry to Zanzibar. Otherwise, you will be transferred to Dar es Salaam Airport for your flight to your next destination.
