Day 1

Flight to Arbaminch

Flight to Arbaminch, a town located 550 km south of Addis. Arbaminch is an Amharic word meaning ‘forty springs’ which
surround the town. On arrival to Arbaminch you will have boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit some herds of hippos, aquatic bird-life, and huge sunbathing crocodiles on it’s shore.

Day 2

Drive to Turmi

Drive to Turmi

Drive to Turmi to visit the Hamer people who are well known for the
scarring of their bodies, using clay to shape their hairstyles, and the
unique practice of bull-jumping which every young man must
accomplish prior to marriage. If the day is Tuesday it's the biggest
market at Alduba. This market brings the Hammar, Benna and sometimes
Tsemay People together.

Day 3

Excursion to Omorate and Karo

Excursion to Omorate and Karo

Morning after breakfast we drive to Omorate to visit the Dassanatch
people and their village which is situated on the other side of the Omo
River. Back to Turmi for lunch then we drive to Karo village to visit Kara
tribes. Karo tribes are well known by body elaborate paintings and they
are pastoral living in east bank of omo river, after we visit karo village
drive back to Turmi for overnight.

Day 4

Visit Mursi Village

Visit Mursi Village

Morning after breakfast leave the heart of the Hammar land across
Dimeka and Key Afar to Jinka. Our excursion drive to the fascinating
Mursi people whose women adore wearing geometrical lip plates in the
slits of their lower lips. The drive to the village of these people takes you
in the heart of Mago National Park.

Visit Konso Village

Visit Konso Village

In the morning we drive down via the Tsemay land and gazing over the
terraced hills of the Konso to Konso village. If this day happens to be
Thursday and if time permits en-route, you will visit the colorful Key
Afar Market of the Banna, the Tsemay and the Ari people with their local
agricultural products. On arrival, you will visit Konso terraced hills, the
Konso’s chief compound and his chiefly artifacts. The Konso people are
famous for their traditional terracing system and Waka Totem (Grave
Wooden Totem).

Drive to Dorze Village

Drive to Dorze Village

In the morning after breakfast take a drive to the highland people of Dorze. Here you will visit
their excellent Elephant shaped bamboo houses, fertile grounds of false banana and colorful waving products. The Dorze people belong to one of the many Omotic people in Southwest Ethiopia. The territory in which they live is situated high in the Guge Mountains and consists of 9 villages. The Dorze people are heavily involved in traditional crafts, have a strong background in farming, and are experts in weaving and bamboo carpeting.

Day 7

Drive to Ziway

Drive to Ziway

Morning we leave Dorze lodge and drive to Ziway through fertile lands
of Wolayta Sodo. On arrival to ziway depends on our time, we take a
walk on the shores of ziway lake to spot Great White Pelicans, the huge Marabu
storks and numerous bird life.

Drive to Awash National Park

Drive to Awash National Park

Drive to Awash National Park. On arrival we drive in the Awash
National Park to visit Awash River gorge and the stunning Awash River
Falls. The thorny bushes of Awash National Park supports not only
beautiful birds but also some mammals such as Hamadriyas Baboon, the
Anubis Baboon, Colobus Monkey, Black-backed Jackal, Warthog, Beisa
Oryx, Soemmering’s Gazelle, Lesser Kudu, Salt’s Dikdik, etc.

Drive to Harar

Drive to Harar

After our morning breakfast, we depart for Harar stopping at Awodai,
Ethiopia’s biggest Khat market. In the evening, you will see the “Hyena
Man” feeding the hyenas that gather nightly outside the town. With a
little courage, you may of course also feed the hyenas yourself!

Day 10

Harar City Tour then fly to Addis

Harar City Tour then fly to Addis

Morning after breakfast drive to the old walled city of Harar. On this day
visit both the colorful Muslim and Christian market know for spice, the
museums, and the traditional Hararie houses situated within the famous
walled city. Then we drive to Dire Dawa for our flight back to Addis. In
the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant
featuring dancers and musicians representing some of the country's many
ethnic groups. Transfer to airport for your international flight.
