1-Day Mokoro Tour in Okavango Delta

A Mokoro day trip from Maun, Botswana, is one of the main activities that should not be missed, as this activity is the best way to experience the Okavango Delta. You are picked up from your place of stay by a 4x4 vehicle or boat, depending on your location and water level of the Thamalakane River and head to the Mokoro Station. You will also drive through the village before meeting the polers, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. The locals from the delta community do the trip, and you will have the chance to learn more about their culture. Experience the delta in the dugout canoe as you travel through the winding channels of the delta. After a picnic lunch, the guide will take you for a nature walk to see the delta's hippos and other animals. After the nature walk, you will canoe back to the Mokoro Station and return to Maun in time to witness a spectacular sunset.
