Fly from Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa on Ethiopian Airlines. On arrival to Dire Dawa drive to the city, you will stop to visit the lively market at Kefira and then on the way to Harar visit the largest chat market, where the moderately-narcotic leaf is sold. Stroll through the 16th century walled city of Harar, the fourth most important city in the Islamic World. It feels as if time has stood still here. We will visit the house of Arthur Rimbaud, renowned French poet who worked and lived in Harar as a "gun-runner" during the 19th century, the National and Harari museums; the house of Ras Mekonnen (the father of Haile Selassie); traditional Harari homes, the colorful Islamic market and many more interesting places. At night, you'll meet the hyena man who feeds the hyenas every night just outside the walls of Harar. This tradition was started long ago to prevent these wild hyenas from hunting for food and domestic animals in the town. Guests are welcome to feed the hyenas themselves.

Explore Babile and the Valley of Marvels
With your expert guide, you'll drive to Babile and the Valley of Marvels. The Valley of Marvels has wonderful landscapes, famous for its balancing rock formations. You'll spend some time there going on short hikes and learning about the geology from your guide. Next, you will explore the town of Babile, which has a very large market on Saturdays and a camel market on Mondays and Thursdays. You'll have time to explore the city at your leisure and explore all the hidden corners of this magical place. At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel.

Discover the Amazing Town of Dire Dawa
On your last day in Ethiopia, enjoy a city tour of Dire Dawa. You will visit the old colonial city, with its landmark French-built railway station. The Kefira market is the oldest in the city, though there are many other markets you can stop at during the day. You'll browse the stalls, taking in the sights and smells, while you shop for delicious food or authentic souvenirs. You can also take some time to visit the neighborhoods of Kezira and Megaala. Soon after, you'll be transferred to the airport where you'll depart for home. You may be leaving Ethiopia, but the experience here will have made memories to last a lifetime.
