Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast from your lodge, you will be picked up by your safari driver guide and then drive to Tarangire National Park. This is Tanzania’s fifth-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs and up to six thousand elephants. Later in the evening, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will proceed with your safari by driving to Serengeti National Park. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti, you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive till sunset. You will arrive at your lodge late in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park - Full Game Viewing

After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive in the park. The day is filled with more drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Later, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, so that you can descend into the crater the following day. If you have some extension early the next day, on this day you can descend into the crater so that you will have enough time the following day. You will arrive at your lodge early in the evening so that you will enjoy the view of the crater from the lodge. You will have your dinner and an overnight stay.

Crater Tour then Arusha

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater entry gate and descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the crater considered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000ft high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. You might expect to see the ‘Big Five’ in one day (depending on weather conditions). The Northern Crater Rim of Ngorongoro Crater is inhabited by buffaloes, elephants, baboons, monkeys and different species of birds. Later, you will drive back to Arusha for your connection/ extension or drop off at your hotel for your own arrangement.
