Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Upon arrival at the airport or your hotel in Nairobi, our office representative will meet you. They will provide a detailed itinerary and introduce you to your driver guide. You will then board the safari Land Cruiser and head to Lake Nakuru National Park, stopping at the Great Rift Valley Escarpment to take photos of the stunning valley. After driving through the valley, you will arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Following an afternoon siesta, you will embark on an evening safari starting at 3:00pm, offering the opportunity to see flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, black and white rhinos, buffaloes, zebras, the rare Rothschild giraffes, impalas, gazelles, and other wildlife. After sunset, return to Flamingo Hill Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After enjoying breakfast at the camp, check out and drive to the Masai Mara, where you will arrive in time for lunch. Then, embark on an afternoon safari starting at 4:00pm. During the safari, you may have the opportunity to see buffaloes, giraffes, topis, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and sometimes rhinos and leopards. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Exploring Masai Mara National Reserve

Start your day with breakfast at the camp, then head out on an exciting full-day game drive in the reserve with lunch boxes in hand. The Masai Mara spans 1,510 square kilometers (580 square miles) of savannah grassland, offering guaranteed wildlife sightings no matter where you go. Do not miss the opportunity to see the annual wildebeest migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River. This spectacular event takes place from July to September. Your guide will find a safe spot under a tree for you to enjoy your lunch while taking in the view. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Masai Mara to Nairobi

Masai Mara to Nairobi

On this day, you will have breakfast, check out of the camp, and depart for Nairobi, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your return flight home.

In addition to the wildlife, the Masai Mara is home to a community of Masai warriors. Renowned for their bravery in battles with the savannah's animals, they extend a warm welcome and share their culture with traditional song and dance. You can also participate in a cultural visit to a Masai home to gain a deeper understanding of their extraordinary way of life (this visit is optional, and an extra fee of US$30 applies).

Optional activities for this day include a half-day city tour, a cultural experience at the Bomas of Kenya, and dinner at The Carnivore restaurant for exotic meals (payment to be made directly at the facilities).
