Day 1

Your arrival at Entebbe International Airport is greeted by our on-site representative. You will then be driven to Kampala City for an overnight stay. Your lodge is located on the upper part of the city overlooking the seven-hill city Kampala. If your flight is in morning hours you will be treated to a city tour in which you will visit many important sites in this African colonial City.

Day 2
Rhinos - Murchison Falls National Park

An early breakfast is followed by a drive northwest towards Masindi and the Murchison Falls conservation area. This is the largest conservation area in Uganda and offers breathtaking scenery of grassland acacia savannah to the north and tropical forests to the south. We shall have a stopover for a nature walk and lunch at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This houses the breeding project which saw the rebirth of the endangered white rhinos in Uganda. You can view them at close range moving and grazing freely in their natural habitat. Thereafter, we proceed to Murchison Falls National Park where you check into your preferred lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, we embark on an early morning game drive to explore the open savannas in the delta of the Nile on Lake Albert’s northern bank. You’ll have the opportunity to take memorable photos of animals in the wild as you will likely chance upon elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbuck, bushbuck, spotted hyenas, and on the rare occasion, leopards. You will be driven back to the lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon, you’ll take a boat excursion along the Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. You will take in an amazing concentration of wildlife at the river’s banks that include hippos, crocodiles, as well as a wide variety of bird species such as the African eagle, pelicans, the kingfisher, Egyptian geese, and many more! We then proceed to walk to the top of the falls. Here, the Nile creates a narrow canyon of thunderous water as it crashes down into the Albertine Rift Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at you preferred lodging.

Day 4

An early breakfast is followed by a drive to Kibale Forest National Park. On the way you will catch a glimpse of the beautiful Rift Valley Escapements which overlook the valley and Lake Albert. You will have a stopover at Hoima City for a visit to local market and then we will continue to the city of Fort portal for our lunch. Later we will check in in our lodge and have an overnight stay.

Day 5

After an early breakfast you will be taken by your guide to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the closest relatives of the human race the chimpanzees. You will later set off with your guide to start the day of fun and adventure. Here you partake in a tropical forest trek and get to interact with chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The forest is also home to other primates as the black and white colobus monkey, the red-tailed monkey, the blue monkey, the vervet monkey and baboons. After spending a day in the capital of primates you will be taken to Queen Elizabeth National park where you will reach late evening at your lodge to enjoy an easy evening.

Day 6

After taking breakfast the day will start off with an early morning game drive along the tracks of the national park. This will focus mainly towards the northern sectors of the park and towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. Watch out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbuck, Ugandan kobs, and on the rare occasion, leopards. The Queen Elizabeth National Park features unique landscapes such as breathtaking views of crater lakes and the Albertine Rift Valley. After lunch, your afternoon will comprise of a boat ride from the Mweya peninsula along the Kazinga channel. This area is one of the most popular sites in Uganda due to the concentration of wildlife, bird species and the all the breathtaking scenery which affords you plenty of opportunities to capture great photographs. You should get opportunities to spot hippos, buffaloes, and elephants. All this while enjoying a drink on the channel.

Day 7
Ishasha – Bwindi Forest National Park

An early breakfast is followed by a photographic safari in the Ishasha sector – the southern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for the “tree-climbing lions” particularly during the hot hours of the day. Other attractions include herds of buffaloes, elephants, topi antelopes, as well as a wide variety of bird species. We have lunch en route at one the picnic sites close to the boarder of Uganda- Rwanda then we proceed to Bwindi Forest National Park which we get to by evening, in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8

The morning has us enter into the impenetrable forest that is Bwindi for the gorilla safari. This activity starts at 8 o’clock in the morning. The trekking is carried out by the most experienced ranger guides within groups of up to 8 people who with gorilla trekking permits allocated. Your quest entails tracking down habituated families of mountain gorillas. Bwindi forest has a population of 420 gorillas (based on 2012 surveys). It isn’t easy to predict the amount of time you will take before encountering the gorillas. However, once you do chance upon them, you’ll have an hour to observe and photograph them. Please ensure that you carry a packed lunch and water with you which may also require the assistance of porters who are always ready to give you a hand at an extra fee of 15$-20$ depending on the daily exchange rate. Prepare well, load your gadgets and enjoy a once in a lifetime experience. We later head to Lake Bunyonyi for our over night stay and Lodging.

We wrap it up on your 9th day! Breakfast is followed by the drive to Entebbe. We have lunch at the equator and this is also a great time to buy souvenirs. We later head to Entebbe for our PCR test that we will have in time for our international flight.
