Day 2

Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. You will be given a packed lunch. This small but scenic park covers an area of only 330 sq km (127 sq mi), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq mi) is made up of the lake when the water levels are high. Lake Manyara is an excellent place for bird watching and a good area to find elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and maybe even the legendary tree-climbing lions. You will be taken to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay afterward.

Day 3

Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. You will be given a packed lunch. This park is one of the most densely-crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. The crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and is also considered the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze, with lions sleeping and lazing in the sun nearby. At dawn, the endangered black rhino will return to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on the dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Maasai herd their cattle and goats over green pasture and through highland slopes. They live alongside the wildlife here as they have done for centuries. You will be taken to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay afterward.

Day 4

Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will be driven toward the fertile highlands where wheat, coffee, and corn are grown. You will continue to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. Here, the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place. Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals in their search for food and water. On arrival, you will embark on a game drive in the park. After an extensive game drive, you will head for your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game drives in North Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Lobo area for a game drive. The Lobo area is situated in the northeast of Serengeti National Park with a unique landscape. You will have a good opportunity to see leopards, cheetahs, large prides of lions, the rare klipspringer antelopes, and others. In the late afternoon, continue to Central Serengeti. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay afterward.

Day 6

Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The park’s landscape is diverse, comprising of dotted ancient baobab trees and large termite mounds. The Tarangire River is the only source of water during the dry season when the harsh sun sucks the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red. During the wet season, you will experience the dense bush and luscious high grasses. On arrival, you will embark on a game drive in the park.

The park is famous for its large elephant population and is also home to zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, waterbuck, baboons, and impala. Predators include lion, cheetah & leopard. The swamps are shared by flocks of birds, including green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, tallish herons, white-bellied go-away birds and giant kingfishers. On drier ground, you will find the kori bustard and the heaviest of the flying birds, the ostrich. After an extensive game drive in the park, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
