Arusha is a city in northern Tanzania and is the capital of the Arusha region. It has a population of 416,442, plus 323,198 in the surrounding Arusha district located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley. Arusha has a temperate climate. The city is close to the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and Arusha National Park on Mount Meru.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast and a short pre-safari briefing, you will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive in the park. At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare the table for a full, hot lunch (soup, bread rolls, main dish and a fruit salad) followed by a glass of wine or tea/coffee. After lunch, we continue with the game drive until the evening, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

You will enjoy breakfast at the lodge, followed by a morning walking safari in Lake Manyara National Park, escorted by an armed ranger. Go on an afternoon game drive until lunchtime when your driver will again set and prepare the table for a full, hot lunch (soup, bread rolls, main dish and fruit salad) followed by a glass of wine, or tea/coffee. In the evening, you will drive back to the lodge. After dinner, you will go on a night game drive in the park, then return to the lodge for your overnight stay.

A walking safari offers a more authentic experience of exploring the African bushveld. Walking safaris are always aided by a well-trained guide, who takes you through the bush by foot through various trails to spot big game, as well as fascinating, lesser-known wildlife. This up-close encounter with wildlife offers an insightful look into their habitat and behavior. Most walking safaris also include game drives, so you get to experience the best of both styles of game viewing.

Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands for a hiking afternoon at the Empakaai Crater. Your driver will set and prepare the table for a full, hot meal (soup, bread rolls, main dish and a fruit salad), followed by a glass of wine, or tea/coffee. In the late afternoon, drive to the lodge at Ngorongoro for dinner and your overnight stay.

Empakaai Crater is one of the most beautiful craters in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From the crater rim, you have a fantastic view into the craters' green paradise. A large portion of its floor is covered with a lake and it is 3,200 m above sea level. The wall rises 300 m above the crater floor and the crater is about 8 km in diameter. Because of the high altitude, the area is often shrouded in mist. Combined with the emerald colour of the lake, it creates an atmosphere straight out of a fairy tale. It is a unique place for walking to explore the forested crater and the variety of its wildlife and flora paradise.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at the lodge, you will go on a full-day Ngorongoro Crater tour. For lunch, your driver will set and prepare the table under our car shade with a full, hot meal (soup, bread rolls, main dish and a fruit salad) followed by a glass of wine, or tea/coffee. After lunch, proceed with the game drive until the evening, when you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

The jewel in Ngorongoro's crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20 km across, 600 m deep and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti to try to catch a view of the great migration. In the afternoon, your driver will choose a great spot where he will set and prepare the table for a full, hot meal (soup, bread rolls, main dish and a fruit salad) followed by a glass of wine, or tea/coffee. Here, you will meet guests from other companies, but usually with only a cold, sandwich lunch, while our service is 5-star while you are on safari with us. After lunch, we go on an afternoon game drive, viewing the great migration. In the evening, we check in to the accommodation for dinner and our overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa, due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem.

Main Destination:
Central Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Today, you will be picked up at 5:00 am for your hot air balloon safari. After landing, you can have a champagne celebration and a good breakfast. Afterward, you will continue with a day game drive in Central Serengeti in the Seronera area until lunchtime. In the afternoon, your driver will set and prepare the table for a full, hot meal (soup, bread rolls, main dish and a fruit salad) followed by a glass of wine, or tea/coffee. In the late afternoon, we drive back to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa. Experience the great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Explore the range of different habitats that include swamps woodland, soda lakes and the world-famous short grass plains of Serengeti where you will see great herds of wildebeest and zebra.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will go on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, searching for the big cats, as well as the Big Five. In the afternoon, your driver will set and prepare the table for a full, hot meal (soup, bread rolls, main dish and a fruit salad), followed by a glass of wine, or tea/coffee. In the late afternoon, drive back to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

A million wildebeest, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfills its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life. This is a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests, mating and survival of the fittest as 40 km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north. The brief population explosion replenishes the species that produces more than 8,000 calves daily, before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

Afterward, you will transfer to the airport for dropoff.

"Magnificent wildlife, the only living things which look as if they really belonged to it are the wild animals. Between the animals and Africa, there is an understanding that human beings have not yet earned" - Laurens van der Post, Venture to the Interior, 1963.

Today, the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and the Maasai Mara National Reserve across the border in Kenya, protect the greatest and most varied collection of terrestrial wildlife on earth, and one of the last great migratory systems still intact.
