Road transfer to Greater Kruger nDzuti Bush Camp & afternoon game drive
The shuttle leaves early in the morning from OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg, and undertakes the 6-hour journey to the pick-up point on the Olifants River. The going is relatively easy and there are refreshment stops along the way. At the Lamai Gate into the Balule Game Reserve, you are met by nDzuti staff and then transferred the short distance to the Little nDzuti Tented Bush Camp. There are 4 meru-style tents with an outdoor private bathroom adjacent to each tent. The tents are erected on permanent cement floors and are furnished with floor mats, bedside tables, beds veranda chairs. The bathroom has a hot shower, a hand basin and a flush loo.
A light lunch is served on the deck of the unfenced camp and then a 3-hour game drive sets off in search of the wildlife in the area. There is a sundowner stop along the way to whet the whistle and enjoy a snack before traveling back to camp by the light of a handheld spotlight. Dinner is served and then a comfortable night's rest awaits.

Dawn and dusk open vehicle safaris in prime Big 5 country in Balule Private Reserve, Greater Kruger
Wake up with the birds and meet at the campfire for early morning coffee or tea and fruit. Choose a seat on the safari vehicle as we head out for a 3-hour game drive. The landscape is varied with scattered rocky outcrops and incredible vistas. We are privileged to have access to the Olifants River frontage where hippo and croc abound. Maseke is well known for its many elephant herds and excellent lion sightings. This reserve is part of an open system within the Greater Kruger and animals can move across great distances, thus no sightings can ever be guaranteed.
During the morning game drive, we stop for hot drinks and cookies en route, then return for a full breakfast back at the camp. During the heat of the day, we relax in the camp at the splash pool and watch over the waterhole. The camp has a small splash pool and a shady, well-established garden that is not fenced off from the bush. We go on an afternoon/night drive with a sundowner stop and dinner at the fireside.

A morning game drive at sunrise enjoying the diverse wildlife on offer in Balule Game Reserve
You will go on a morning game drive, enjoying the wildlife and birdwatching, and even a possible Big 5 sighting. Stop for coffee at a waterhole before heading back to camp for a full breakfast. The diverse terrain of our area supports an equally varied array of antelope species. The scattered"kopjes" (rocky hills) are the preferred habitat of the agile klipspringer, while the medium to tall grasses in some areas attract the precious sable antelope. Waterbuck are common along the Olifants River and the magnificent kudu is a browser of leaves and a non-territorial nomad.
The nDzuti guides are bush enthusiasts and keen to share their knowledge and experience, thereby delivering a fulfilling and unforgettable safari experience. All that remains after breakfast is the short trip to the shuttle departure point on the Olifants and a fond farewell with the hope to meet again.
