On day one of your 6 days Uganda gorillas & wildlife, Uganda safari will be traveling from Entebbe to Kibale National Park in the west, 5-6 hours via Mubende-Fort Portal City route. En route, enjoy the beautiful countryside make a stop at Fort Portal tourism city for lunch then go to check into the accommodation at Kibale with en-route scenic view of Crater Lakes, terraced tea estates, etc.

Day 2

Have early breakfast before assembling at Kanyanchu visitor centre for briefing/orientation about chimpanzee tracking regulations. You will have a guide to escort you through the 2-5 hours trek to see chimpanzees starting at 8:00am. Have a thrilling encounter during the 1 hour of close interaction with chimps, learn their behaviors but also don’t miss sighting l’hoest monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, birds.

Get back from the jungles for lunch, check out prepared to exit Kibale for Queen Elizabeth National Park 3 hours’ drive. Arrive early in the afternoon, enjoy view of wildlife as you go check into your lodge.

Day 3

Game drive, boat cruise

Game drive, boat cruise

Rise up for day 3 of your 6 days Uganda gorillas & wildlife, have breakfast and after, go enjoy a game drive via Kasenyi track. The Kasenyi game track offers incredible sightings of the bush elephants, solitary buffaloes, birds, antelopes, warthogs, lions, leopards and these will be excellently viewed during the 2-4 hours game drive in a pop up roof vehicle.

Have lunch, after, go enjoy a boat cruise experience for 2-3 hours starting from 2:00pm which takes you on Kazinga Channel. Key species not to miss today range from basking crocodiles at the river banks, hippos, waterbucks, birds like fish eagles, bee-eaters.

After having a tasty African tea/coffee, check out of the lodge, drive via Ishasha to see tree climbing lions and later, be transferred to Bwindi. Enjoy the countryside breathtaking landscape and retire for the night at the lodge in the forests of bwindi.

Day 5

Early morning delicious African tea/coffee and after, report to Buhoma or another region as directed by your gorilla permit for briefing about gorilla trekking rules. Along, have some packed lunch and water, after allocation of gorilla families, start trekking at 8:00am with the guide for 2-6 hours. You will settle with gorillas upon finding for 1 hour of taking pictures but use cameras with no flashlights or turn off the flashlight.

After, go back to have a gorilla trekking certificate and later be at the lodge for relaxation. Later, be ready for a short cultural walk to Batwa people in their community for cultural dances, music and great learning about their lifestyles.
