Tarangire National Park
Today after breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes. The drive to Tarangire National Park is about 110km and takes about 2 hours from Arusha.
Tarangire National Park is a huge park best known for its large herds of elephants, but it’s also great for lion and leopard, wonderful for birdlife and great variety of landscape and wildlife. The gorgeous Silale Swamp, towards the south of the park, is magnificent and almost always rich in wildlife taking advantage of this reliable water source. The park provides water not only from the swamp, but also from the Tarangire River. During the dry season, it’s the primary source of water for animals from the entire area, making for fantastic viewing.
You will have your lunch in the park (your driver guide will pick a picnic site in the park where you can have your lunch) and thereafter, continue with the game drive. Parks normally open at 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. You will be at your next lodge in time for dinner.

Lake Manyara National Park
This is another lovely park, lying roughly between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. It boasts a beautiful little groundwater forest where you can spot blue monkeys, lots of giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards and a very pretty lake dusted pink in the distance with flamingos.
Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600m high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest. Here hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.
You will enjoy your lunch box in the park and continue with the game drive. In the late afternoon, you will be driven back to your lodge.

The Central Serengeti boast those spectacular “endless plains,” dotted with acacia trees and the occasional rocky kopjes. What is special about Central Serengeti is the wide-open spaces, driving through the miles and miles of animals as far as the eye can see and riverine forest. There is nice chance of seeing leopards along the river valleys as well as wildebeest spread over a large area (it can be visited at any time of the year).
You will have your lunch in the park and thereafter, continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will drive to an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti.

You will then drive back to the lodge for a leisure breakfast followed by a pure relaxation break. You will then go for another game drive and sunset viewing over the Serengeti and then drive back to your lodge.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today you will drive to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. It’s a 2 hour drive from Serengeti. This Crater is the world’s largest intact collapsed caldera (volcano) which is a self-contained ecosystem with its own unique population of wildlife in a confined area of amazing variety.
The Crater boasts lots of lions, hyenas, fantastic bird-life, servals, Cape buffalo, zebras and gorgeous landscapes. Also there is an added advantage of seeing rhinos, if you are lucky. The view from the veranda of the lodges are breathtaking especially in the morning with the early morning mist, because of the high altitude (it can be visited at any time of the year).
