Kibale Forest National Park
On the second day in Uganda, we’ll journey to Kibale National Park, home to the chimpanzees and known as the primate capital of East Africa. En route, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside, with views of spectacular landscapes, traditional homes, and a variety of birdlife. We’ll stop for lunch in the beautiful town of Fort Portal before continuing to the park.
On the third day, you’ll set out early for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale National Park. Your experienced ranger guide will lead you as you hike through the tropical forest in search of chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After lunch, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a swamp walk, which supports community development initiatives. Along the way, look out for other primates, including red-tailed monkeys, mangabeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and baboons.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the fourth day, you’ll begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through scenic crater lakes (depending on the road conditions), and enjoying views of the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for a relaxing lunch.
The fifth day starts with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a biodiversity hotspot that boasts the highest variety of wildlife among Africa's protected areas. This is the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards before they retreat into hiding. Your vehicle is equipped with a pop-up roof, ensuring excellent game-viewing opportunities. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and other exotic species.
In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat safari along the Kazinga Channel towards Lake Edward. Watch for wildlife drawn to the water, including a variety of bird species.

Ishasha Sector
Today you’ll be transferred to the Ishasha sector, located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, in search of its unique tree-climbing lions. These magnificent creatures can often be seen lounging in acacia trees, particularly from midmorning to early evening. While the exact reason for their tree-climbing behavior remains a mystery, theories suggest it may help them spot prey, escape the heat, or avoid insects.

Ishasha Sector - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
We’ll depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive offers breathtaking views of local communities, lush agricultural lands, and stunning scenery, including the terraced farms of the Kigezi Highlands.
The following day brings the ultimate safari experience—gorilla trekking in the “jungles of Africa.” Wake up early in preparation for this amazing day. Accompanied by experienced guides, you’ll hike through the forest to encounter these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Observe their fascinating behavior as they eat, play, and care for their young, highlighting their remarkable similarities to humans. For those not participating in gorilla trekking, alternative activities include guided forest walks or engaging in a cultural village tour to explore the surrounding community.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Mburo National Park
After the gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you’ll depart for the beautiful Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy the scenery and a stop at the Igongo Cultural Museum for a brief break along the way. Upon arrival at the park, you’ll go on an evening nature walk, followed by a game drive.
