Early Morning Drive from Dar-es-Salaam to Mikumi National Park and Afternoon Game Drive

You'll be picked up at the hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam early in the morning and then drive for 5 to 6 hours to Mikumi National Park with a stop for lunch on the way. On arrival, go for an afternoon game drive until sunset. In the late evening, drive to the camp for your hot dinner and overnight stay.

Full Game Drive at Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, go for a full-day game drive across the enormous beautiful Mikumi National Park until evening.
The Mkata flood plain is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, impala and a rich number of bird species. The vegetation of this area consists of savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm. In this area, at the furthest from the road, there are spectacular rock formations of the mountains Rubeho and Uluguru, after game drive back to the camp for your overnight stay and a hot dinner.

Drive to Udzungwa Mountains for Hike at a Popular Sanje Waterfalls then Depart to Dar-es-Salaam

After an early breakfast, collect your packed lunch boxes and depart to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. On arrival, the driver guide will transfer you to the starting point of the hike. This is a hike through the beautiful forests and landscape scenery up to an amazing waterfall. While hiking with a professional guide you will learn about various trees used for traditional healing and other poisonous trees. Also, the view of the largest Tanzania sugarcane plantation (Kilombero Sugarcane Valley) from the waterfall is just incredible. You'll be back from the mountain in the late afternoon and you'll be picked-up by your driver at the gate and then drive back to Dar-es-Salaam.
