You will be transferred to Bweza lodge at the boundary line of the home of gorillas, be ready to enjoy the scenic views of this beautiful part of the gorilla highlands and cool weather, you will have various stop overs for photography and scenic viewing.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

Wake up early, have breakfast and leave for gorilla trekking. You will attend a briefing. Following your guides lead, you will start your trek to find the fabulous mountain gorillas! Find the gorillas can take up to 4 to 6 hours but is so rewarding in the end. As a note, you should be prepared to walk on sometimes slippery footpaths and uneven terrain on your way to the gentle giants. You will spend one hour observing and enjoying the primate family after which you will head back for debriefing and receive a gorilla trekking certificate. As an extra service, walking sticks will be provided and if you think you need a porter for your extra luggage and to offer a hand in case you need support in the jungle please ask for one. In the evening, you will be entertained around a campfire by the Batwa cultural dancers. The Batwa were the first people to inhabit the forests before conservation was intensified in the early 90s.
