Day 1

Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will warmly meet and greet you before transferring you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The scenic journey takes approximately 4 hours, passing through the breathtaking Kigezi region, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa." Along the way, your guide will assist with border crossing procedures.

There will be a stopover in Kabale for a chance to stretch, relax, and do some light shopping. As you continue your drive to Bwindi, enjoy the stunning countryside views and the majestic Virunga massif in the distance. Upon arrival at your lodge in the afternoon, you’ll check in and have time to relax and prepare for the unforgettable adventure ahead.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking and Community Walk

Gorilla Trekking and Community Walk

Wake up early to start your day, giving yourself ample time for breakfast. Be sure to pack your lunch and drinking water, as the trek to find the mountain gorillas will take several hours. Arrive at the park headquarters for a detailed briefing, after which you’ll begin your trek into the forest. Depending on the movement of the gorillas, the trek may take between 2 to 8 hours depending on their movements. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have one full hour to observe them, capturing their behavior and interactions in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to the park headquarters for a quick debrief and receive certificates, and then head back to your lodge to freshen up. In the afternoon, enjoy a community walk where you’ll visit the Batwa people, learning about their unique way of life. You will have the chance to enjoy their vibrant cultural dances and songs as they share their traditions and stories with you.

Day 3

Wake up at your leisure and check out of your lodge, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa's most serene and scenic destinations. At the lake, enjoy a variety of activities such as bird watching, swimming, or a peaceful boat ride to explore the 29 islands scattered across Africa’s second-deepest freshwater lake. One of the highlights is visiting the Punishment Island (Akempene), rich in local history and legend.

Relax by the tranquil waters, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, as you reminisce about the unforgettable experiences of the previous day, all in a cool, serene environment. This peaceful retreat offers the perfect opportunity to unwind before continuing your journey.

After the museum visit, enjoy lunch at the museum café, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s experience. Continue your journey to Kigali, and upon arrival, you may have the opportunity to take a brief tour around the city. Explore some of Kigali’s most notable sights before concluding your trip.
