Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by Musana Tours and Travel guide/driver. After a brief introduction and tour overview, you’ll be driven to your hotel for check-in and a chance to freshen up.

In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Kigali. Your guide will take you through the vibrant streets of Rwanda’s capital, providing insights into the city’s rich history, culture, and the resilience of its people. Key highlights may include visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the Kigali Arts Center, and other local landmarks.

Next Morning:

The following morning, your guide will brief you on the exciting tour to the Pearl of Africa (Uganda), traveling through the heart of Africa. You'll be prepared for the adventure ahead, which promises stunning landscapes, wildlife, and cultural experiences as you journey into Uganda.

Day 2

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Kigali for your safari to Uganda. The drive to the Uganda border is about 80 km and takes about 2 hours. You’ll pass through Rwanda’s scenic “Land of a Thousand Hills,” with views of terraced hills and lush landscapes. On clear days, the Volcanoes may be visible. Your driver will stop for photo moments along the way. After crossing the border, your guide will assist with the border clearance. Then, you'll drive for about 3 hours to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day

Day 3

After an early breakfast, clients will receive a packed lunch from the lodge and be transferred to the park’s briefing point. The briefing, which begins at 8:00 am, requires clients to arrive by 7:30 am. Following the briefing, clients will be guided by a ranger on a trek through the impenetrable forest in search of gorillas. The trek may last 4 hours or more, depending on the gorillas' location. Once located, clients will have one hour to observe, photograph, and learn about the gorillas' behaviors. Afterward, they will return to the park office for their graduation ceremony and receive gorilla tracking certificates. After checking out, clients will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi for an afternoon of relaxation or a canoe/boat ride. Check-in at the lodge, followed by scheduled activities, dinner, and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, your guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) through the scenic hills of Kigezi, offering breathtaking views of the fog-covered hills. Along the way, you’ll encounter attractions such as the Karegyeya hanging rocks, the Kitagata hot springs, tea plantations, and picturesque crater lakes by the roadside. Upon arrival at the park, check-in at the lodge for lunch and enjoy some relaxation time.

In the afternoon, we have an optional evening game drive or unwind at the lodge. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park for your morning game drive. Expect to encounter a wide range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, hyenas, kobs, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of birds. The game drive typically lasts 4-5 hours as you explore the Kasenyi plains, the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Following the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to the Mweya/Kazinga Channel for a boat launch. While on the boat, you’ll have the opportunity to observe wildlife up close, with many animals coming to the lake to drink. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and water birds. After the boat ride, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you'll drive to Kyambura Gorge for your chimpanzee tracking experience. This activity offers a unique opportunity to trek through the gorge’s lush rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees that call it home. The trek can take 1-3 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees are located. During the trek, you may also encounter other wildlife, including various monkeys and birds. Once you find the chimpanzees, you’ll spend an hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat.

After your chimpanzee tracking, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, set off for a game drive through the park. During the game drive, you’ll have another chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and a host of other animals and birds. The game drive will end as the sun sets, offering beautiful views of the savannah. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will begin your transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kigali International Airport. The journey will take approximately 5-6 hours, passing through scenic landscapes and rural towns. Your guide will ensure a smooth and comfortable drive as you make your way through the rolling hills of western Uganda and the stunning views of the Virunga Mountains.

Along the way, you may stop for refreshments or to take in the scenic views before reaching the border at Gatuna. After clearing customs and immigration, you will continue your journey into Rwanda.

Once you arrive in Kigali, you will be transferred directly to Kigali International Airport or do a quick city tour which includes the genocide museum and the top of Kigali, This marks the end of your memorable safari experience.
