After an early breakfast, your Musana Tours and Travel driver-guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Uganda via the Chanika border. As you journey through Rwanda, known as the land of a thousand hills, you'll enjoy scenic views and make several stops for photo opportunities. The breathtaking views of the volcanoes will enhance the experience as you approach Uganda. Upon reaching the border, the driver-guide will assist with border formalities, and you'll continue the drive to your hotel, located about 30 km from the border. Enjoy lunch, refresh, and relax for the evening before your overnight stay.

Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After an early breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch from the lodge and our driver will drive you to Mgahinga National Park headquarters arriving in time for briefing. Before briefing, your passport details will be required to make sure that you are eligible to trek mountain gorillas. This will be followed by a briefing from one of the UWA rangers about gorilla trekking, dos and don’ts and instructions to be followed on the trek, with the gorillas, and after the trek. You will then be led to the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. Once you find the gorilla family, you will be allowed one hour with the gorillas and then trek back to the park headquarters for graduation and get awarded the gorilla tracking certificate. You will drive back to the lodge for your overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Mgahinga National Park headquarters for the golden monkey trekking experience. Upon arrival, you will receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts of interacting with the golden monkeys. Following the briefing, you will head into the forest for your trek, where you will spend one hour observing and interacting with these unique primates.
After the trek, you will drive to Lake Mutanda for a scenic boat ride, visiting Gahiza Island, known for its historical significance. As you enjoy the boat ride, take in the stunning views of the Virunga Mountains. In the afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer from kisor near Mgahinga National Park to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district, known as the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa. The lake is dotted with 29 islands and offers stunning views, along with a rich variety of birdlife along its shores. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for lunch and then embark on a boat ride to explore the lake and its islands. You will also enjoy a breathtaking view from the top of the lake in the afternoon. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, immersed in the tranquility of the surroundings.

Transfer from Lake bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth National Park, afternoon chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast, you will transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a scenic drive that takes approximately 4-5 hours. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a chimpanzee tracking adventure in the Kyambura Gorge, one of the park's highlights. During the trek, you will have the chance to encounter chimpanzees in their natural habitat and learn about their behaviors and conservation efforts. After the tracking experience, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drive and Boat Launch in Kazinga Channel
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the park for your morning game drive, you can expect to see a lot of wildlife such as lions, leopards, hyenas, kobs, elephants, birds, and buffalos among others. The game drive normally takes 4-5 hours through the Kasenyi plains as you explore more of the second-largest savannah park. After the game drive, you will transfer to the lodge for lunch and proceed to the Mweya/ Kazinga channel for an afternoon boat launch. While on the boat you will have an encounter with wildlife as many animals come by the lake showers to quench their thirst. You can expect to see several aquatic animals such as hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and water birds. After the boat ride, you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer back to Kigali with a stop over at the Genocide museum for lunch and Museum visit
After breakfast, you will begin your transfer back to Kigali. On the way, you will make a stopover at the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a poignant and educational visit. Here, you will learn about Rwanda's history and the tragic events of the 1994 genocide, as well as the country's remarkable journey of recovery and reconciliation. After the museum visit, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant before continuing your journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
