In the afternoon, we'll embark on a game drive in the Serengeti, which is home to more than 35 species of plains animals, including zebra, wildebeest, eland, and giraffe. The park is also the staging ground for one of the world's most spectacular events—the annual migration of over one million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, which begins around June as they head to the Masai Mara in Kenya in search of greener pastures. Predators like lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures closely follow the migration. The Serengeti is also home to over 500 bird species.
