Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by your safari guide and driven to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy the wildlife! Tarangire National Park is almost 3,000 sw km in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season (June - November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti. This is because enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water. With its varied habitats and permanent water in the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species.
Your overnight stay will be at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge in Karatu.

Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast at Tarangire, you will drive to Serengeti National Park where you'll enjoy game drives. The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle, the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search of fresh pastures. Each year this huge herd of wildebeest (along with over 200,000 zebras and gazelles) migrates in a clockwise direction around the Serengeti. They go up to the Masai Mara in Kenya, then back down to the Serengeti to give birth (over 8,000 wildebeest are born a day between mid-February and mid-March). Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is. Your overnight stay will be at Tanzania Bush Camps Central Serengeti.

Central Serengeti National Park
You will enjoy a full day in Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is the world's last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals. Most of these animals take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature's wonders. The area covers 14,763sq km and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word 'Siringet', meaning endless plains. Tourist activities found in the park include game drives, hot air balloon safaris and visits to the neighbouring lakes like Lake Victoria.
The best time to follow the wildebeest migration is from December to July and to see predators from June- October. After a game drive; your driver will take you back to your hotel for the night.

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
On this day, we suggest a very early wake-up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. After the game drive, we'll return to the camp for a rewarding brunch, and then we'll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102sq miles and has 2000ft high walls, making it virtually Noah's ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It's one of the very rare locations on the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It's also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.
You will reach Ngorongoro in time for a sundowner and spend a night at Planet Lodge Arusha.
