Arusha to Tarangire

After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river to drink and cool off from the hot African sun. You will see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeest. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will be able to take in the landscape and watch the variety of wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, which includes coffee and soft drinks. After a full day in the park, you will be driven to Fanaka camp where you will check in, enjoy dinner and enjoy your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

An early start is on the agenda today as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend down an adventurous path into the 600m caldera. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, this massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25 000 mammals such as spotted hyenas and the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and lion. You will enjoy hot lunch at a picnic spot inside the crater, before continuing your search for wildlife still unseen. In the afternoon you will leave the conservation area and head back to Arusha. Breakfast; Lunch.
