On arrival, you will be picked by the Kubwa Five Safaris representative will pick you up from Mfuwe International Airport and drive you to South Luangwa National Park. You will have lunch at the hotel.

After lunch, you will go on a thrilling evening game drive. The park has a high density of wildlife and it is famous for its large population of leopards.

Morning Game Drive And Evening Game Drive In South Luangwa National Park

After breakfast, we will head out for a morning game drive in South Luangwa National Park. The park is home to numerous large lion prides. You will also find elephants, buffalos, zebras, and pukus in abundance here.

In the evening, you will head out for a game drive in South Luangwa National Park. Feel your senses heightened as you head out into the bush, learning about the park’s complex ecosystems, as well as the techniques that professional safari guides and park rangers use to track wildlife.

The park is right at the end of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, with the river winding through the vast parklands, making for epic landscapes. This abounding natural beauty also attracts wildlife and huge concentrations of big game can be found here, such as lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, hippos, and many other animal species.

You will enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at Marula Lodge.

Day 3

Bush Walk | Local Village Tour and Boat cruise on Luangwa River | South Luangwa National Park

On this day, you will have a number of activities such as a bush walk, a boat cruise, and a local village tour. After breakfast, you will head out on a bush walk to discover a level of detail you simply can’t experience from the safety and comfort of a safari vehicle. After the walking safari with an armed guide, you will go back to your hotel to relax.

After lunch, you will go on a boat cruise (boat safari) down the Luangwa River. During this trip, we might see hippos, elephants, crocodiles, lions, and many other animals that live in the park.

In the evening, you will visit the local village of Kawaza to meet the Kunda people and learn about their way of life. You will also learn about the amazing work done by the local conservation initiative "Conservation South Luangwa" and their efforts in anti-poaching.

You will return for dinner and overnight at Marula Lodge.

Day 4

Fly to Lusaka | Transfer to Kafue National Park

Fly to Lusaka | Transfer to Kafue National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer back to Mfuwe and take a domestic flight back to Lusaka. From there, you’ll take another private transfer to Kafue National Park.

Kafu National Park Zambia’s oldest and largest national park. Located in a remote area of the national park, you will stay in Musekese Camp’s charming thatched-roof chalets, where you can watch the wildlife from your private deck.

Dinner and overnight at Pinnon Safari Lodge.

Day 5

Morning and Evening Game Drive in Kafue National Park

After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive to see some of Kafue National Park’s best wildlife spots. This includes the Busanga Plains where you can see antelope, elephant, zebra and lion. Rare species to look out for include red lechwe, sable and the African wild dog, as well as the elusive cheetah. Watch hippos splashing in Lake Itezhi-Tezhi and look to the skies to see the various bird species which live in the trees around the Busanga Swamp, such as African finfoot, half-collard kingfisher, and African skimmer.

After a few hours of resting at your lodge, you will go for an evening game drive. Several small rivers cross this area which leaves a number of waterholes in the dry season for the animals to quench their thirst. Wild dogs, which roam large areas of the park, cheetahs, and lions are among the inhabitants here.

After breakfast, you will head to town for shopping and lunch. Afterward, you will be dropped off at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (or other location in Lusaka) for your scheduled flight back home.

However, you’ll leave with a camera full of photos and a number of stories to recount to loved ones back home, having encountered the very best of Zambia’s creatures, great and small.
