After a delicious cup of African tea/coffee, you will have a 2-hour city tour in Kigali which includes visiting craft markets, and the Kigali genocide site. Afterward, you will drive for 6 hours to Nyungwe National Park with an en-route visit to King’s palace and lunch at Butare.

Day 2
Nyungwe Chimp Trek, and Canopy Walk

After a hefty breakfast, you will settle for orientation about Nyungwe chimpanzee tracking regulations as early as 7:00 am. You'll set off from Uwinka or Cyamudongo area, trek chimps for 2-4 hours, and have one hour with these humble creatures face to face.
Nyungwe National Park is a vast rainforest park, protecting more than 500 chimpanzees but also other species of primates, birds, and mammals which you won’t miss spots. You'll walk back for lunch at leisure. Afterward, expect to enjoy a 2:00 pm Nyungwe canopy walk for 2 hours. You'll enjoy the view of primates, birds, and the Nyungwe forest canopy while on a suspended walkway.

Day 3
Nyungwe-Volcanoes National Park
Nyungwe-Volcanoes National Park
You will transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Afterward, you will have had the best of your African tea or coffee. You'll enjoy the scenic view of Lake Kivu, plantations, and rolling hills. On arrival, you'll settle for lunch and pay a visit to Lake Burera and Ruhondo, the Twin Lakes.

Day 4
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
You'll wake up, enjoy the best of Rwanda tea or coffee, and leave your lodge for orientation about gorilla trekking rules or guidelines. You'll go with a packed lunch and water. After being assigned to a family of mountain gorillas, you'll leave Kinigi for actual gorilla trekking lasting 2-6 hours. Expect to spend only 1 hour with gorillas in the forest, learn about their behaviors, take photos then return to relax. Late in the afternoon or evening in Volcanoes National Park, you will leave the lodge for the Gorilla Guardians Village tour.

Day 5
Volcanoes National Park to Kigali City Tour
Volcanoes National Park to Kigali City Tour
After enjoying breakfast, you'll settle for a briefing at Kinigi about golden monkey tracking regulations. At 8:00 am, you will begin trekking golden monkeys which take 2-4 hours and include one hour of magical encounter. Afterward, you will walk back, check out of the lodge, and drive back to the Kigali capital.
